There are TONS of snack/breakfast bars on the market, so I wasn't too sure how Quaker would make a product to stand out above the crowd, but oh boy, did they! I recently had my choice of Cinnamon Pecan Bread or Banana Nut Bread. I'm not big on raisins, so I went with the Banana Nut Bread and I'm glad I did; it's delicious!

My family enjoys both flavors so I buy four boxes at a time when I find them.

I did as the wrapper suggested and heated my ** NEW Quaker Soft Baked Bar - Banana Nut Bread ** in the microwave for 10 seconds before eating. It wasn't hot, but it was warmed through and I imagine that heating it up brought out the flavors better too. All at once, I liked and didn't like the texture of this snack bar. Its soft baked as the name implies, but it has some crunchy pieces within it too. The texture of the crunchy pieces reminds me of Rice Kris pies cereal. Although I loved all that texture when I first started eating the bar, I did kind of tire of it by the time I was finished. Maybe there's just a little too much of those crunchy pieces.
Besides the decent texture, the flavor of this bar is actually pretty good. You can definitely taste the banana and the nuts, and it ends up tasting like a piece of banana nut bread (with crunches). It's not too sweet, and ends up having a nice balance of flavors.

This ** NEW Quaker Soft Baked Bars ** contains 140 calories, 3.5g of fat, 5g of fiber and 6g of protein. It also contains 20% daily value of 5 B Vitamins. I think it would make a nice breakfast snack
They are nutritious, wholesome food and are high in fiber so who can say no to the kiddos when they ask for this treat?
Try them they are so worth the money!
