Clipix: Useful Tool To Organize your life!

Let me guess, you heard about clipix. Or more like, you can’t spend 20 minutes online without hearing about it…

And now you’re thinking, “should I jump on the wagon too?” or “another social network to keep up with?” and on top of that, everybody is talking about using it for organizing family life and, you just don’t see it.

Alright, I hear you. I’ll give you everything you need to know about Clipix and a bunch of resources so you can decide if you are ready to join the hottest trend online.

Let’s start with what it is…

Clipix is a free awesome, new and useful tool that is changing the way we organize our lives online. It is another way of collecting and organizing stuff (images) you find online. Think visual bookmarking, publicly and with a social network in it. Some see it as a vision board, some as a catalog and others as a great way to organize your life online!

It’s very easy to do, too...

You simply drag a bookmark called a “Clip” into your bookmarks bar.  Whenever you find something online that you’d like to come back to later just click the “Clip” button.  Everything that you clip is stored in customized clipboards on clipix.  You can share, edit, delete or change the security settings on each individual clipboards as much as you like.

They also have a cool feature where you can create Syncboards that allow you to work with friends and family to share resources that you have found. It is great for planning a family or class reunion.

In addition, Clipix also allows Multiboards which are groupings of clipboards so you can keep your clipboards organized even further.  Keeping track of family vacations, gifts, wish lists and so much more is easy leveraging multiboards.

How to sign up?

Setting up my account was as easy as signing in using Twitter or Facebook. However, if you don’t want to use either of those, you can just sign up with email. You are also presented with a variety of default boards that reminds me of something like note board where you can attach messages. You can personalize it and create your own. You can set the privacy settings of each board individually (I really like that feature).

My boards are My Recipe ideas (which is public) and Vacation Travel Plans (Private).
